We have just uploaded a new version of the Salsa Rhythm iPhone application to the iTunes appstore. The new version is currently waiting for Apple’s approval, and it should be available to download within a week or so.
Features in the new version:
- Control the Clave orientation directly from the main screen (see the screen shot below). You no longer need to open the settings screen for changing the clave orientation.
- “Overlay audio” mode – Lets the Salsa Rhythm play over music from other applications, so you can put it on the top of a song from your iTunes music library, for example. This new setting is configurable from within the settings window.
- iAds – There are now iAds integrated in the embedded in-app browser. We have not included any iAds in the main screen nor the instruments configuration screens, in order to keep these screens clean and keep the users’ focus on the main app functionality.
- The memory management code was rewritten, fixing a few memory leaks that existed in previous versions.
